Amalfi and Ravello

I slept like a rock…my body and brain completely shut down..the true amazement of being in Positano filled my heart and head…I truly felt like I was in heaven…going to sleep with my balcony doors slightly open listening to the dreamy music wafting in, hypnotized me to a deep sleep. After I woke up and made my way ro the main terrace I was greeted by Gippy, the Inn owner with a tray full of croissants, Cappuccino, juice, fruit….marvelous. His welcoming demeanor made it so much more special.after sitting on terrace making light conversation with him and another guest, Gippy asked what my plans were….was I going to Amalfi, capri, Ravello?…as if I woke up from a haze, I remembered I had plans and needed to see a few more sights. So I gathered my day stuff together and headed to the town of Amalfi…very nice, and sweet. Beach looked inviting but I had sights to see…I explored Amalfi, ate a lite lunch of bruschetti, and I decided to take the bus to Ravello.
Ravello is a town on top of a huge mountain behind Amalfi….now if you would like to experience a road trip….try this…I was on a small bus, standing up holding to a pole, traveling uphill of nothing but corkscrew turns….i was falling and swaying everywhere….we were so tight in the bus, I guess we held each other up.
Except for a beautiful view and pretty church, there was not much to see…so I headed back to Amalfi and then ferry ride back to Positano. A pleasant evening of Pizza, and lemoncello I retired to my wonderful room…
